Job description

Position Title: Backend Associate

Reports to: Backend Supervisor

Department: Receiving

FLSA: Non- Exempt

Position Summary:

The Backend Maintenance Associate are required to efficiently in accordance with Forman Mills productivity standard. Maintaining a clean, tidy and organized store environment.

  • Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure loading dock is clean and free from debris
  • Removal of trash and empty pallets in the store area.
  • Cleaning restroom areas
  • Compacting trash
  • Baling cardboard
  • Perform maintenance duties (Sweeping, Moping, etc.)
  • Maintaining a clean and odorless store
  • Ensure outstanding customer service by greeting, assisting and thanking each customer in a positive approachable manner.
  • Present a positive image towards all team members, customers and the community.
  • Performs additional tasks when needed outside the receiving area to include: o Cross train on the register
  • Cross trained Fitting room o Salesfloor recovery
  • Help deter theft by reporting all dishonest behavior to management and/ or Loss Prevention department
  • Position Requirements:
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
  • The ability to work in different areas of the store such as selling floor, fitting room, and frontend as directed by supervisors and management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively as it relates to communicating to customers and team members all Forman Mills written policy and procedures, training materials, directives and any other materials Forman Mills produce.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions to operate the register, make change and conduct inventory.
  • Physical requirements include lift up to 50 lbs. Use of hands and fingers in a continuous and repetitive activity. Adequate fitness level to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and repetitive lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Job Related Skills: Math, ability to count money and give accurate change
  • Safely use a carton knife
  • Ability to handle different customer’s personalities in a professional manner
