Location: Fife, WA

Pay: $25.00โ€“$30.00 per hour, depending on experience


Long Road Transportation is a fast-growing logistics company specializing in container drayage, warehousing, transloading, and order fulfillment services.

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and professional Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join our warehouse team and manage daily inbound and outbound warehouse and yard activity.


Schedule

Full-time, on-site position

Monday through Friday

Consistent 40-hour workweek

Overtime is required based on operational needs

Regular schedule: 8:00 AM โ€“ 4:00 PM


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule inbound and outbound loads with customers, carriers, and the internal dispatch team
  • Coordinate warehouse appointments and communicate scheduling changes
  • Assign dock doors to arriving drivers
  • Assign forklift operators to loading, unloading, and other warehouse jobs
  • Check drivers in and out of the facility
  • Provide drivers with loading, unloading, and dock instructions
  • Verify bills of lading, packing lists, delivery receipts, and other shipping documents
  • Confirm shipment information, quantities, reference numbers, and appointment details
  • Enter and maintain accurate shipment information in company systems
  • Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, delays, shortages, damages, and other issues
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel and dispatch to ensure loads are handled safely and efficiently
  • Prioritize daily workload based on appointment times and operational requirements
  • Monitor loading and unloading progress and communicate delays when necessary
  • Maintain organized shipping and receiving records
  • Provide shipment documentation and status updates when requested
  • Escalate documentation, scheduling, or operational issues to management
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving office
  • Follow company safety procedures and operational policies


Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly
