Job Title: Design Assistant

Reporting To: Design Director

Work Type: HYBRID in Office 4 days / Partial Remote 1 Days

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Design Assistant to join our creative team. In this role, you will work directly with the Design Director and Merchandising and Design team across various tasks. This position will assist the design team at key points across the development season. This position will also maintain and manage the fabric library/boards, color library/palettes, inspiration and proto samples and various seasonal design documents. In addition to these key tasks the position will also assist with various duties listed below.

POSITION DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with sketch updates including color and/or print updates as well as detail and trim updates
  • Assist Design Director/M&D Team with seasonal documents
  • Create, update and maintain seasonal R&D documents
  • Create, update and maintain production handover documents for each division
  • Create, update and maintain product description documents for each division and work with Ecomm and Sales team to see the document through process
  • Create, update and maintain seasonal color palettes - both digital and physical
  • Compiling KEY color trend directions utilizing multiple forecasting platforms and runway
  • Keeping color samples updated, organized and in delivery order
  • Pulling Pantone options to color match to bought samples, mood boards, etc.
  • Calibrating color palette to match Pantones and or samples
  • Creating all files for seasonal color palette and adding pantone information
  • Researching color name ideas and assessing if names are available on Full Circle
  • Assist Product Development team by preparing new fabric development swatches each season and building and maintaining seasonal fabric books with vendor details for dept referencing fabric.
  • Assist Design Team with seasonal style name by cross checking new names on our website, B2Z, and style number doc and keep style name list up to date
  • Helping to create digital or physical mood boards when needed
  • Assist Design Director and PD team to prep for key seasonal milestone meetings
  • Assist PD team with gathering and organizing proto samples, lab dips and strike offs
  • Organize and maintain Inspiration samples
  • Perform other various duties for Design Director and Department as needed

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

  • Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop and Google Workspace, Centric PLM and Full Circle experience a plus
  • Super organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent team player with the ability to be supportive and collaborative across multiple team members and departments.
  • Creative thinker who can brainstorm innovative ideas/strategies to support brand initiatives
  • 1-2+ years of related experience a plus

Design Assistant - Salary Range

$60,000 - $68,000 annual base salary

As required by applicable pay transparency laws, Z SUPPLY provides a range of compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. To determine starting pay within the hiring range, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, role/level, a candidate's skills, experience, market demands, internal parity and other relevant factors. Flexibility outside of the salary range listed may be considered based on additional skills or qualifications a candidate may possess that may justify additional compensation. Company paid health benefits, PTO, bonus and other various company perks are not included in the salary range listed above and are considered additional compensation.
