Job description

NYC DOB Licensed Construction Superintendent
Certified of New York Inc. is seeking an experienced NYC DOB Licensed / Registered Construction Superintendent to oversee high-end construction projects throughout New York City. We work on premium commercial and residential projects, including restaurants, condos, hotels, townhouses, and interior build-outs.
This role is for someone who can run the jobsite, coordinate trades, maintain safety and DOB compliance, communicate clearly with project managers, and keep work moving on schedule with a high level of professionalism.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the on-site superintendent for active NYC construction projects.
  • Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, coordination, and daily field oversight.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, inspections, and daily work sequencing.
  • Read drawings, review field conditions, and communicate issues early.
  • Track daily progress, manpower, site activity, and project needs.
  • Work closely with project managers, ownership, clients, and design teams.
  • Maintain DOB, OSHA, SST, and company safety standards.
  • Help keep projects on schedule while protecting quality and client experience.

Requirements:
  • Active NYC DOB Construction Superintendent Registration / License required.
  • Valid SST Supervisor Card required.
  • OSHA and DOB safety training current and in good standing.
  • Experience supervising construction projects in New York City.
  • Strong knowledge of jobsite safety, inspections, trade coordination, and DOB requirements.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and coordinate field work.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • High-end commercial, hospitality, residential, or interior construction experience preferred.
