Job description

The Houseperson keeps public spaces guest-ready and supports the housekeeping team. You'll maintain lobbies and corridors, stock closets and carts, deliver linens and amenities, assist with event setups, and respond to guest requests-ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Public Areas: Clean and refresh lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, fitness/pool areas, and BOH corridors (sweep/mop/vacuum, dust, trash, glass, surfaces).
  • Linen & Supplies: Distribute/stage linens, terry, and amenities; maintain par levels and organized storage rooms; collect and transport soiled linen to laundry.
  • Guest Support: Deliver items (towels, pillows, rollaways/cribs) promptly; greet guests warmly; escalate service recovery needs to leadership.
  • Team Assistance: Support Room Attendants with quick turns, priority rooms, and restocking carts; help with deep cleans and seasonal projects.
  • Events/Meetings: Set/reset spaces (tables, chairs, linens, water stations) and assist with room flips as needed.
  • Safety & Compliance: Use chemicals/equipment safely; follow PPE, OSHA, and SDS guidelines; place and remove wet-floor signage; adhere to key control and privacy/DND policies.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Identify and report defects (lights out, leaks, hazards) via radio/CMMS; tag areas out of service when required.
  • Organization & Documentation: Keep closets, loading dock, and back-of-house areas tidy; complete daily checklists and handoffs.
