There is a growing demand for DNA analysts due to advances in genetic research, forensic science, and personalized medicine. These roles typically require strong laboratory skills, knowledge of molecular biology, and proficiency with DNA analysis tools and software, making them valuable in forensic labs, healthcare, and research institutions.

What are some common challenges faced by DNA Remote Specialists when collaborating with lab teams from a distance?

One common challenge for DNA Remote Specialists is maintaining seamless communication and coordination with on-site lab teams, especially when troubleshooting complex genetic analysis issues. Utilizing collaborative platforms, clear documentation, and regular virtual meetings helps to bridge the gap and maintain high standards in data processing and reporting. Building strong working relationships remotely also requires proactive communication and adaptability.

Job description

WHY DEPT?

We are a Growth Invention company built to help the world's most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, we create what is next by pioneering ideas, acting fast, and moving further because standing still just is not in our DNA.

We are drawn to people who stay curious, move with intent, and never stop inventing. Our culture runs on three values: better together, relentlessly curious, and get sh*t done. It is how we work, how we grow, and how we make things that matter.

At DEPT, you will find the freedom to explore, the space to collaborate, and the trust to make a real impact for our clients, for each other, and for the world we are helping to build.

THE ROLE:

We expect a Manager, Client Partnership to build a strong understanding of the clients in their portfolio's business, challenges, goals, and SWOT. • Assist in productizing our media services within a proposal and SOW
  • Support drafting of SOWs, amendments, and other legal adjustments in partnership with the contracts team as needed
  • Support contract negotiations and help oversee implementation of commercial agreements
  • Identify and help pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities to drive innovation, strategy, and organic revenue growth
  • Help ensure teams are operating effectively and efficiently toward client goals while supporting financial revenue targets on accounts

  • Support delivery of work to the highest possible standard
  • Contribute to the strategic process by sharing ideas and experience
  • Support employee retention and contribute to direct reports' growth, where applicable

OWNERSHIP & EXECUTION

  • Good judgment under ambiguity. Can make progress without waiting for perfect requirements while knowing when to ask for help.
  • Bias toward ownership. Proactively identifies problems, helps define success, and drives media performance work to completion with reasonable oversight.
  • Ability to prioritize. Comfortable making tradeoffs across competing campaign priorities and client needs, especially during high-volume flight periods.
  • Comfort with autonomy. Can independently own recurring media workstreams (reporting, optimizations, pacing), creating capacity for broader strategic client work.

COMMUNICATION & COLLABORATION

  • Strong written communication. Produces clear campaign documentation, concise performance updates, and polished client-facing reporting materials.
  • Strong stakeholder management. Effectively coordinates across media, strategy, and data teams, manages competing priorities, and builds trust with cross-functional partners.
  • Comfort with rapid iteration. Incorporates performance data and feedback quickly, adapting campaigns to changing client needs or business priorities.

LEARNING & PROBLEM SOLVING

  • Learning velocity. Demonstrated ability to ramp quickly across platforms, verticals, or unfamiliar domains and apply new knowledge effectively.
  • Quality control instincts. Strong attention to detail for campaign QA, reporting accuracy, and proactively catching issues (pacing, tracking, discrepancies) before they reach clients.

CROSS-CHANNEL EXPERTISE

  • Media activation experience. Solid understanding of Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic, along with an appreciation for how activation work connects to Strategy, Data Science, and Data Tech.
  • Cross-LOB operator mindset. Understands how media workstreams connect across lines of business and can identify opportunities to improve collaboration, consistency, and efficiency across channels.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Experience supporting large media accounts and agency teams
  • Experience supporting complex media campaigns and retainers (experience in paid search, paid social, or programmatic preferred)
  • Experience with campaign execution and budget management
  • Comfortable working across both brand and conversion/direct-response campaigns
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong client relationship skills, including experience supporting strategy development
