What is DNA logistics?

DNA logistics refers to the specialized field of managing the transportation, storage, and handling of genetic material such as DNA samples. Companies or professionals in this area ensure that DNA samples are kept under optimal conditions, often requiring temperature control, specialized packaging, and strict chain-of-custody protocols to maintain sample integrity. DNA logistics is critical for medical laboratories, research facilities, forensic investigations, and direct-to-consumer genetic testing services. Proper DNA logistics help ensure the reliability and accuracy of genetic testing and analysis. The field also involves compliance with regulations regarding the shipment of biological materials.
