Job description

Our Mission

Position Overview
The Site Manager plays a key leadership role in the daily operation of the DME Express location. This position oversees Delivery Technicians, warehouse operations, equipment preparation, routing, deliveries, pickups, and overall site organization.
The Site Manager also supports the delivery, setup, and pickup of durable medical equipment (DME), supplemental oxygen products, and related supplies for home care patients within an assigned service area.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys managing a team while also being willing to step in and help wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly and patients receiving excellent service.
Reports To: Director of Field Operations and VP of Operations
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Daily Operations
  • Supervise, support, and provide direction to Delivery Technicians.
  • Coordinate daily workloads and help determine efficient delivery and pickup routes.
  • Ensure technicians complete deliveries and pickups accurately, safely, and on time while following The DME Express Way.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and excellent customer service.
  • Assist technicians and warehouse staff when additional support is needed.
  • Ensure team members properly maintain assigned company vehicles and equipment.
  • Assist with warehouse and office maintenance tasks as needed.
Equipment Delivery & Patient Service
  • Assist with pulling prescribed equipment and supplies from the warehouse according to patient/client delivery tickets.
  • Load durable medical equipment, oxygen systems, and related supplies safely onto delivery vehicles.
  • Deliver and set up DME, oxygen, and supplies for home care patients when needed.
  • Provide patients and caregivers with clear instructions on the safe and proper use of equipment, when applicable.
  • Serve as a professional field representative of DME Express and help patients resolve equipment- or service-related concerns.
  • Pick up rental equipment as directed and ensure returned equipment is properly unloaded and processed.
  • Demonstrate patience, courtesy, professionalism, and compassion during every patient and customer interaction.
Warehouse & Equipment Support
  • Oversee the return and unloading of rental equipment at the warehouse.
  • Assist with cleaning and disinfecting returned rental equipment.
  • Perform or assist with minor equipment repairs when appropriate.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Complete delivery and pickup documentation/data entry promptly and accurately.
Safety & Compliance
  • Become familiar with and follow applicable DOT and FDA regulations, particularly those related to oxygen handling and transportation.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, environmental policies, customer requirements, and employee handbook policies.
  • Perform required preventive maintenance and safety checks on assigned company vehicles.
  • Ensure Delivery Technicians follow company vehicle maintenance and safety expectations.
  • Maintain a professional and neat appearance while representing DME Express.
  • Represent and promote DME Express in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Scheduling & Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends, based on operational needs.
  • Participate in a predetermined rotating on-call schedule, including applicable weekend coverage.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the success of the team and organization.
Qualifications
Education
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience, Skills & Requirements
The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate strong customer-service and problem-solving skills.
  • Be dependable, punctual, patient, and professional when interacting with patients, caregivers, coworkers, and customers.
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on position that requires the ability to safely transport, handle, and set up durable medical equipment.
Team members must be able to:
  • Sit, stand, walk, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, crouch, kneel, reach, grasp, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Frequently enter and exit delivery vehicles while bending, squatting, and maneuvering around equipment.
  • Safely lift, carry, push, pull, and move durable medical equipment weighing up to 150 lbs, as required by the position.
  • At applicable locations, handle liquid oxygen containers weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Use appropriate hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity when setting up and handling medical equipment.
  • Reach overhead and safely handle equipment or objects weighing up to 75 lbs or more, as required.
  • Safely walk up and down stairs while carrying or maneuvering equipment.
  • Use basic tools, including wrenches and screwdrivers, when setting up or performing minor maintenance on DME.
  • Remain seated and alert while driving for prolonged periods.
  • Work outdoors in varying and extreme weather conditions.
  • Meet applicable physical testing requirements throughout employment that are consistent with the essential functions of the position.
  • Perform the essential physical responsibilities of the position, with reasonable accommodations when applicable.
