Overview

The DCGS-N SSA Quality Control Specialist supports the Software Support Activity (SSA) in software maintenance, requirements, and management by controlling and managing software licenses/keys, media, and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • They coordinate and complete data calls
  • Utilize government-provided repositories to receipt, control, duplicate, and distribute software, while maintaining appropriate classified control over classified software.
  • Gather and maintain software lifecycle management data, including licenses, repositories, and supporting documentation, such as spreadsheets, trackers, and reports, to support efficient and effective software management.
  • Duplicate and distribute software, as allowable.
  • Maintain appropriate classified control over classified software.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED, related military experience, or trade/industrial school graduate.
  • None to two (2) years of experience solving technical problems. Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance.
  • Possess a practical understanding of engineering/software concepts.
  • Ensures that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards.
  • Experience includes testing equipment/system to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely.
  • The individual shall be able to interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens.
  • Should have experience in computer-aided drafting (CAD), the ability to prepare shop drawings for model construction, and be familiar with material specifications and fabrication methods.
  • Individual shall have or be able to attain within 30 Days of assignment Security+
  • Active Top Secret Clearance walking through the door
