Community Schools Network VISTA-UWGLV
All United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley AmeriCorps VISTA assignments will expand capacity towards population level goals across the region. UWGLV strives to create population level change in areas of education, community stability, healthy aging to ensure individuals who experience crisis have the supports they need to rebound. The UWGLV VISTA project focuses on strengthening the networks of providers that deliver services to address concerns and through working with UWGLV staff they support the efforts across all three-issue areas. VISTAs address issues at the programmatic and system levels seeking to identify and deal with the root causes by utilizing the collective impact framework.
Member Duties : The UWGLV Community Schools Network AmeriCorps VISTA will strengthen the Lehigh Valley Community Schools Network by developing and refining systems, tools, and resources that support consistent, high-quality implementation of the United Way Community School model. The VISTA will review, refine, and confirm onboarding and orientation materials and timelines for new Community School Coordinators and Principals; create clear processes and timelines for annual technical assistance planning and evaluation with Lead Partners and school districts; and break the "Year at a Glance" implementation framework into accessible, do-it-yourself learning modules for districts exploring Community School adoption. Additionally, the VISTA will assess the feasibility of transforming documented DIY learning modules into digital content and, if appropriate, support the development of a digital learning experience to expand access and scalability.
