Job description

Role Description

This is a part-time position that will later become a full-time position. This is an on-site role as a Ring Making Associate. You will direct customers through crafting their own bespoke rings and ensure high-quality standards during the production process. Other responsibilities include maintaining inventory and communications with management.

What exactly you do for hands-on ring making

  1. Support customers to create one of a kind personalized heirlooms
  2. Cut metal, Welding, Hammering, Polishing and engraving on rings (use certain equipments and you can be an expert to make a silver ring for 2-4 weeks.)
  3. Responsible for precious metal stock
  4. Report to management/headquarters daily
  5. Cleanup and inventory daily
  6. Social media posting weekly

Qualifications

  • Experience in jewelry mandatory, preferably 3-5 years of experience
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to follow design specifications and instructions
  • Good communication skills with our valued customers and ability to work in a team

Training

Expect training for 2 weeks. We will get you up to speed as fast as we can, we want you to be able to take your own appointments as soon as possible. As soon as you are able to lead your own appointments, you can make tips.

Headquarter Jewelry Kamata was founded in Hirosaki, Japan in 1929 as jewelry wholesale/retail and launched the ringram brand in 2018. They became a pioneer of experimental DIY ring brand for years. They have currently 17 stores and keep expanding throughout Japan. There is also the atelier at headquarter, where craftsmen maintain the quality of their products and creativity.

Ringram was named by ring+gram from their challenging spirit of offering rings “by the gram” instead of flat prices. Customers craft their own personalized rings for themself or to loved ones. Their experience also suits the wedding bands making. Each ring is one-of-a-kind and memorable.

In 2024, ringram’s biggest journey to launch their first overseas store in the most competitive jewelry city has started and looking for a passionate team to grow together!
