Job description

JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Corporate President, the Division President identifies existing and emerging niche market opportunities for the division's products within the strategic direction of the division. This position manages a sales team to capture opportunities to grow the business at an average annual rate greater than 10% per year. The Division President has overall division level P&L responsibility with focus on managing order bookings, sales revenue, gross profit, and sales expenses to meet a budgeted net Earnings Before Tax (EBT) target. This position directly supervises all division sales functions including regional sales managers, proposal estimators, and customer service personnel.
Responsibilities include the following:
  • Developing and executing annual sales and marketing plans
  • Tracking and analyzing of returns/payback on marketing expenses
  • Developing and managing individual sales goals in line with the divisions budget and track bonus plans to budget
  • Meeting or exceeding total division annual budget revenue, gross profit and net EBT numbers and maintaining P & L
  • Leading the division sales team to maintain The Armor Group's disciplined sales process through utilization of CRM
  • Steering major key customer relationships
  • Ensure proper estimating rates and processes are in place and executed to protect Armor
  • Additional items as assigned by manager
  • Designing and executing Strategic Plan for the business including:
    • Identifying and exploiting niche market opportunities within the overall division strategy
    • Company strengths and weakness
    • Core competencies
    • Target markets and products via Segmentation
    • Competitor and pricing analysis
    • Growth market opportunities
    • New trends and technologies
    • Product/market analysis
  • Understand, promote, train, and ensure compliance of the QMS within the managed department.

PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY
This position interacts with customers, division sales personnel, Marketing, Project Managers, Accounting, HR, Corporate President, CFO, and the CEO.
COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in assembling, leading, and driving a high-performance sales team to hit budgeted revenue and profitability growth numbers
  • Extensive sales background with strong interactive communication skills with the ability to influence, persuade, and motivate others
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
  • Utilization of a systematic sales process in managing an opportunity from lead generation to successful closing
  • Capability to lead major initiatives that impact a sales team
  • Proven leadership and business acumen skills
  • Risk management experience and proactive attitude toward risk mitigation
  • Critical thinking and creative technical problem-solving skills combined with sound judgment
  • Fully understand all aspects of sales channels: reps, distributors, direct sales to corporate buyers (focus on direct sales)
  • Understand, promote, train, and ensure compliance of the QMS within the managed department.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience in developing and executing sales and marketing plans
  • 5+ years of managing a multi-channel sales distribution network
  • 3+ years of P&L responsibility

Equipment and Software experience required
This position will use a computer and ERP, CRM, and Estimating software.
WORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS
This position will be in an office and manufacturing environment.

This division sells Industrial mixers. Candidate must understand mechanical and chemical engineering of mixings and market knowledge of food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries.
