Description
True Inspection Services (TIS) is a division of The Mannik & Smith Group (MSG). As a wholly owned subsidiary of MSG, TISย  offers clients expanded service capabilities while continuing our focus on project service and delivery. TIS is an engineering and construction management firm that specializes in construction inspection and management services. Our expertise includes the inspection of asphalt and concrete roadways, as well as bridge construction, rehabilitation, and coating inspection services. We have provided our inspection services to both public and private sectors, working with various state departments of transportation, counties, municipalities, and retailers across Ohio, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, and Maryland.

As a result of our continued growth, we have a new opening for an ODOT Prequalified Project Inspector to support our projects in ODOT District 3! *ODOT District 3 serves Erie, Lorain, Huron, Medina, Crawford, Richland, Ashland, and Wayne counties.*

Key Responsibilities
The Project Inspector inspects the construction project to ensure contractor compliance with state specifications, plans, and/or proposal for roadway work, roadway drainage, pavement, water works, electrical maintenance of traffic, traffic work zone, pavement markings, traffic control, signing, topsoil removal, demolition and clearing, foundations for embankment, sub-grades, guardrails and/or median barriers, landscaping slope protection, detours, temporary roads, etc.ย 

ODOT Prequalification as a Project Inspector is mandatory
Certification required
-High School Diploma or GEDย 
- Highway Testing Certificate,ย  Construction Technician II certification **and**
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician โ€“ Grade I certification **and**
- ACI Aggregate Testing Technician โ€“ Level I certification
- **or** Ohio Aggregate Level I certification
**Additional Requirements:**
- Must show successful completion of the following tests:
ย  - ODOT Flexible Pavement Test (must be renewed every five years)
ย  - ODOT Traffic Work Zone Test (must be renewed every five years)
- Complete ODOT Commercially Useful Function (CUF) Training
