This is a full-time, twelve-month Financial Secretary I position which will serve as the secretary to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at the Caesar Rodney District Office.
Candidate must have excellent secretarial and interpersonal skills for this position as he/she will be interacting with parents/ guardians, community members and school district personnel on a regular basis. Must be proficient in FSF, Microsoft Office (excel) and telephone protocol. This position requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information. Candidate must be able to work independently, multi-task, and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Manage multiple grant funds including but not limited to Title I, Title II, Title III, Title IV, Perkins, Opportunity, Environmental, Military, McKinney Vento, Mentoring, CTE, and 509 funding allocations.
  • Work closely with other departments including but not limited to Finance, Human Resources, Student Services, and Operations.
  • Work with various schools to determine funding allocations and appropriate use of funds.
  • Maintain appropriate files and records.
  • Manage a large fiscal budget and accurately code purchases.
  • Prepare invoices for free and reduced students AP exam reimbursement.
  • Manage and register travel for staff and students including but not limited to CTE, Odyssey of the Mind, etc.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

SALARY: In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and degree. Benefits package included.

  • Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
  • All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
  • Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following: proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver's License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
