ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Responsible for all facility operationsย includingย scheduling andย management of drivers, supervisors, leads andย distribution centerย associates
  • Manage the day-to-dayย distribution centerย operationsย including unloading and loading of all shipments ensuring accuracy and timeliness of shipments and paperwork.ย  Align workload, people management and process objectivesย 
  • Enforceย all programs;ย safety,ย operational, and personnel policies and proceduresย 
  • Complyย with federal, state, and local warehousing,ย fleet,ย material handling, and shipping requirementsย 
  • Safeguardย distribution centerย operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocolsย 
  • Overseeย a safe,ย clean,ย and orderlyย operating environmentย 
  • Responsibleย for theย accuracy ofย shipmentsย 
  • Ensure facility is in good condition;ย maintains a clean, efficientย distribution centerย 
  • Sustainย distribution centerย staff through recruitment, selection,ย andย training ofย team membersย 
  • Identify and execute coaching opportunities to develop team membersย 
  • Verifyย inventory accuracyย through cycle count process to ensure inventory accuracyย is maintained at levels acceptable to company standardsย 
  • Ensure all will call orders are handled in an efficient and courteous mannerย 
  • Ensure fleet is compliant with DOT regulationsย 
  • Implementย a monthly/yearlyย budgetย acceptableย toย cost control performance measuresย 
  • Utilizeย a โ€œCreativity beforeย Capitalโ€ approach to managing and leading the facilitiesย 
  • Developย strategies and programs to reduce costs and lead times, increase inventory turns and order turnaround timeย 
  • Responsible for providing outstanding customer service

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • A B.S./B.A.ย degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Manufacturing,ย Management,ย or equivalent work experienceย preferredย 
  • Minimum of 2 yearsโ€™ operations leadership experienceย preferred
  • Experience managing fleet of delivery vehicles under DOT compliance
  • Operate a vehicle under DOT compliance
  • Possess a valid regular driverโ€™s license, some states may require a Class D license
  • Insurable by Companyโ€™s insurance carrier
  • Strong leadershipย skills:ย train, motivate and direct the work of othersย 
  • Strong organizationย andย decision-makingย skillsย with an attention to detailย ย 
  • Strong oral and written communication skillsย

  • Distribution center,ย fleet,ย and forklift safetyย
