Location: Florida (Remote with National Travel)


About Polaris Hardware America

Polaris Hardware America is a growing supplier of premium architectural hardware for the glass fencing, aluminum fencing and gate industries. We supply high-quality hinges, latches, spigots, gate hardware and accessories to wholesale distributors, retailers, contractors and installers throughout the United States.

As we continue to expand our presence across North America, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales growth, develop strategic partnerships and strengthen our distribution network.


Position Summary

The National Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new business opportunities while growing and maintaining long-term relationships with wholesale distributors, retailers, glazing companies, fencing suppliers, contractors and key industry partners.

This is a hands-on role that manages the sales process from prospecting through to securing new business while identifying opportunities to expand market share across the United States.

The successful candidate will work independently from a home office while travelling throughout their assigned territory to meet customers, attend industry events and represent Polaris Hardware America.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales process from prospecting through to closing new business opportunities.
  • Develop, manage and maintain a strong sales pipeline through regular customer engagement and relationship building.
  • Identify and secure new wholesale distributors, dealers and strategic partners.
  • Grow existing customer accounts through regular business reviews and sales planning.
  • Prepare quotations, commercial proposals and responses to customer enquiries.
  • Conduct product presentations to distributors, contractors and end users.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, networking functions and association meetings to promote the Polaris Hardware brand.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities, providing regular market intelligence to management.
  • Work collaboratively with customer service, logistics and operations teams to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
  • Coordinate with marketing on promotional campaigns, product launches and sales initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales forecasts.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline activity and business development opportunities.
  • Achieve agreed sales, profitability and growth objectives.



Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in business development or outside sales.
  • Experience within the building products, railing hardware, construction, fencing, glazing or related industries is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated success developing new business and managing key customer relationships.
  • Experience working with wholesale distribution networks is preferred.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to initially travel extensively throughout Florida and Southeast US. The role may expand to National travel.
