Job description

THE WORK:

Ripple is expanding its Business Development team in North America and hiring a Business Development Manager to drive RWA tokenization and institutional DeFi activity on the XRP Ledger.

This role sits at the intersection of institutional capital markets and regulated on-chain infrastructure, with responsibility for sourcing, structuring, and closing partnerships with asset managers, issuers, broker-dealers, custodians, tokenization platforms, and institutional DeFi venues that will make XRPL the venue of choice for tokenized real-world assets.

Your portfolio spans two priorities under the RWA tokenization umbrella:ย

  1. XRP Ledger (XRPL) Collateral Mobility - mobilizing tokenized assets as on-chain collateral across repo, lending, prime brokerage, trading, and the broader institutional DeFi stack.
  2. Ripple Capital Markets (RCM), Ripple's institutional product for bringing capital markets workflows (issuance, settlement, post-trade) onto the XRP Ledger. You will execute against the strategy and translate it into a partner book that moves the market - not incrementally, but materially.ย

Based in our New York office alongside the Ripple Prime team, you will also partner directly with Ripple Prime to source and structure joint opportunities that pair tokenized asset issuance and on-chain capital markets workflows with Ripple Prime's institutional offering. This is an externally facing role at one of the most important inflection points in financial markets, at a company with the credibility, capital, and customer footprint to win it.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop and execute Ripple's RWA tokenization business development plan in North America.ย
  • Source and closing institutional partnerships that drive issuance, distribution, and adoption of tokenized assets on the XRP Ledger.
  • ย Drive partnerships for RippleX Collateral Mobility, mobilizing tokenized assets as on-chain collateral across lending, prime brokerage, trading, and institutional DeFi venues - unlocking new capital efficiency for institutional counterparties.
  • Drive partnerships for Ripple Capital Markets, bringing institutional capital markets workflows - including issuance, settlement, and post-trade - onto the XRP Ledger.
  • Partner directly with the Ripple Prime team in New York to source, structure, and close joint opportunities that combine tokenized asset issuance and on-chain capital markets workflows with Ripple Prime's institutional offering.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:ย

  • 6+ years of business development, strategic partnerships or coverage experience within fintech, financial services, or digital assets - ideally at an investment bank, asset manager, market infrastructure provider, leading fintech, tokenization platform, or top-tier crypto firm.
  • Solid understanding of institutional capital markets concepts such as collateral, securities lending, repo, settlement, custody, and market infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of tokenization, RWA, stablecoins, institutional DeFi, and blockchain infrastructure, with experience driving adoption in regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to source, structure, and execute complex, multi-stakeholder commercial agreements with measurable revenue or strategic outcomes.
  • An established network across institutional counterparties - asset issuers, capital markets institutions, custodians, prime brokers, and the digital asset ecosystem - that you can mobilize from day one.
  • Strong judgment, ownership mindset, and comfort operating in ambiguous environments - this is a from-scratch team in a from-scratch market.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency with both AI and standard tools of the trade (Claude, Gemini, Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, and an MBA or equivalent is helpful.
