Purpose of Position:
The Sr. Associate Product Manager is charged with leading the development and execution of business plans for the fresh chicken business. This position is key to delivering the annual financial and long-term strategic plans of the company. Will be responsible for initiating and executing business building projects involving branded, private label and foodservice products. This individual will collaborate across the organization to execute initiatives and deliver objectives.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Participate in the development and execution of chicken business unit objectives, strategies, and tactics for the assigned product lines and plants
  • Contribute to annual chicken business unit plan objectives and strategies
  • Project leader for cross functional commercialization of new branded and private label products, or changes to existing ones. Manages packaging artwork with creative team and sourcing
  • Innovation support to bring new products to market
  • Collaborate directly with retailers and field sales for key customer initiatives
  • Coordinate with Product Management, Plant Personnel, Sourcing, Transportation and the Distribution Center to ensure high performance levels
  • Strategic forecasting for assigned product lines
  • Lead external audit and certifications related to product claims

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in related major required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years CPG/Food marketing/product line experience
  • Leadership mentality, must be product line owner/champion within the organization
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to work cross-functionally across departments
  • Strong financial and quantitative analytical skills
  • Ability to participate in strategic and annual planning
  • Strong communication skills including written and verbal presentation
  • Experience directing creative assignments
