Job description

Gillfor Distribution has an existing role of an Inside Account Manager to join our Winnipeg branch.

The Inside Account Manager is responsible for achieving results for the distribution center by creating and maintaining business relationships with key customer accounts. This person works as part of a team and is responsible for managing all aspects of our business with their customer: product sales and promotion, customer accounts, shipping and delivery, and conflict resolution. A good Inside Account Manager communicates effectively, is comfortable in a team culture, has a keen business sense, and clearly understands how to generate profitable business results. Inside Account Managers are also responsible for helping to create customer targets and plans.

Gillfor Distribution offers its employees a compensation package that includes a competitive base salary with an discretionary bonus program, as well as benefits and RRSP.

Performance requirements

• Identify decision-makers in targeted prospects to initiate the sales process.

• Collaborate with the division manager to determine the necessary strategic sales approaches.

• Support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibitions, and other events as required.

• Make outgoing follow-up calls to existing customers by phone, email, or Teams meetings.

• Sell the company's added value and increase the customer's product basket.

• Manage incoming and unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.

• Attend periodic sales training as required.

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, payment, refunds, etc.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.

• Experience in building materials is a significant asset.

• Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures.

• Facilitates problem identification, solution finding, and objection handling.
