A Distribution Tech, short for Distribution Technician, is responsible for maintaining and operating equipment that distributes electricity, water, gas, or other essential utilities. Their duties typically include inspecting distribution lines, troubleshooting issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all systems are running safely and efficiently. Distribution Techs may work in the field or at substations, and they often respond to service outages or emergencies to restore normal operations. This role requires technical knowledge, attention to safety protocols, and sometimes physical labor.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a distribution tech?
