Job description

Corium Innovations is seeking a Planning amp; Distribution Manager who will have ownership of the Master Production Plan (MPP) and end‑to‑end distribution and warehouse execution supporting Corium Innovations’ GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This role provides leadership to ensure production planning, warehouse activities, and distribution execution are aligned to meet customer service expectations, operational KPIs, and regulatory requirements. This position directly manages a Senior Manufacturing Planner, who owns detailed production scheduling and manages the master plan, and Material Handlers, who execute day‑to‑day warehouse operations. While detailed scheduling and warehouse tasks are executed by direct reports, this role retains accountability for plan quality, service performance, inventory health, and execution outcomes. This role also works closely with the Director of Supply Chain and Procurement Manager to ensure overall supply chain performance targets are achieved.

Responsibilities:
  • Master Production Planning Ownership:
    • Own and maintain the Master Production Plan, ensuring alignment with approved demand forecasts, manufacturing capacity, and business priorities.
    • Establish planning strategies, planning horizons, and governance rules that drive effective and executable schedules.
    • Ensure the master plan supports service level targets, inventory objectives, and operational KPIs across clinical and commercial programs.
    • Lead planning scenario analysis and risk assessments related to demand changes, capacity constraints, and execution risks.
  • Leadership of Production Scheduling:
    • Provide functional leadership, coaching, and performance management to the Senior Manufacturing Planner.
    • Partner closely with the Senior Manufacturing Planner and Department Leadership to ensure detailed production schedules align to the master plan and are capable of delivering required KPIs.
    • Review schedule adherence, execution performance, and variability; guide corrective actions as needed.
    • Serve as escalation point for schedule conflicts, priority trade‑offs, or execution risks impacting customer service.
  • Warehouse amp; Distribution Execution Leadership:
    • Directly manage Material Handlers responsible for day‑to‑day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping activities.
    • Will be responsible for working with the appropriate teams to manage clinical shipments, as well as primary contact for imported shipments.
    • Ensure warehouse execution supports production plans, order fulfillment requirements, and GMP/GDP expectations.
    • Establish clear priorities, work standards, and performance expectations for warehouse activities.
    • Monitor warehouse KPIs such as on‑time shipments, inventory integrity, and execution efficiency.
  • Service, Inventory amp; KPI Accountability
    • Retain accountability for service level performance, schedule adherence, and planning/distribution KPIs.
    • Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and Supply Chain leadership on inventory risk mitigation and disposition decisions as required. Own the processing of product disposal and collaborate with appropriate departments.
  • Distribution amp; Order Fulfillment
    • Oversee finished‑goods order fulfillment and distribution performance for all customers.
    • Coordinate with Quality partners to ensure compliant shipment execution, including temperature‑controlled and regulated shipments where applicable.
    • Track and report customer service metrics; lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for delivery or service failures.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with the Director of Supply Chain and Procurement Manager to ensure production planning, procurement execution, and warehouse/distribution activities collectively support service targets and KPIs.
    • Serve as the primary planning and distribution interface for Manufacturing, Process Development, Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Commercial stakeholders.
    • Support S&OP and supply review forums with master plan insight, execution feedback, and risk‑based recommendations.
  • Systems, Continuous Improvement amp; Compliance
    • Ensure effective use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or successor ERP systems for planning execution, warehouse visibility, and order fulfillment.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports providing visibility into production plan performance, service levels, inventory health, and warehouse KPIs.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning effectiveness, service reliability, and warehouse execution efficiency.
    • Ensure all planning, warehouse, and distribution activities comply with Corium SOPs, GDP requirements, and GMP expectations.
    • Support audits, inspections, deviations, and CAPAs related to planning, inventory, warehousing, or distribution.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in planning and/or warehouse amp; distribution leadership within a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical or medical device environment
  • Prior people leadership experience, including planners and/or warehouse staff
  • ERP experience required; Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
  • CDMO experience supporting both clinical and commercial programs preferred
  • Experience with regulated domestic and international pharmaceutical distribution preferred
  • Strong understanding of master planning governance, execution management, and KPI‑driven performance
