Forklift Operator
Manassas, VA

General Shale, Inc., the nation’s leading manufacturer of brick and masonry materials, is seeking a Forklift Operator to support operations at our Manassas, Virginia sales and distribution center. This role is ideal for a safety-conscious individual with forklift experience who enjoys hands-on work and providing excellent customer service.

Position Overview:

The Forklift Operator is responsible for supporting daily yard and distribution operations, loading and unloading materials, preparing products for delivery, and assisting customers. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily yard operations including loading and unloading trucks using a forklift (Hi-Lo)

  • Safely handle and move product manually as needed

  • Prepare materials for customer pickup and scheduled deliveries

  • Provide professional and courteous customer service

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard area

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support distribution operations

Qualifications:

  • Previous forklift (Hi-Lo) experience required

  • Ability to interact professionally with customers and the public

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, and lifting

  • Basic computer skills preferred
