Job description

We are seeking an experienced Distribution Center Manager to lead operations within our new Youngsville, NC-based 550,000 sq. ft. facility, overseeing a team of approximately 125 employees. Relocation assistance is available to the Raleigh-Durham area from within the US. Minimal travel is expected (~10%).
The expected annual salary range for this role is $146000 - $215000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
This role is responsible for driving operational excellence across receiving, inventory, and shipping while ensuring safety, quality, and service targets are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all daily distribution center operations, including inbound, storage, picking, packing, and outbound shipping
• Manage, coach, and develop a workforce including supervisors and frontline teams
• Drive performance against key metrics such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, productivity, and cost
• Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy through effective controls and cycle counting programs
• Optimize labor planning, staffing, and workflow to meet demand and improve efficiency
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all OSHA and company standards
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost performance
• Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, transportation, and customer service teams
• Manage operating budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 7 years of experience in distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing plant operations
• Minimum 5 years of direct people leadership experience

Preferred:
• Experience leading large teams (50+ people)
• Experience as Manager or lead of a Distribution Center/warehouse/manufacturing plant preferred
• Greenfield/startup DC experience helpful
• Lean/Six sigma certification
• SAP ERP experience
Skills:
• Knowledge of warehouse management and ERP systems
• Experience with inventory control and logistics operations
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Manage operating budget, including labor, equipment, and facility costs
• Proven leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
• Continuous improvement mindset with Lean/Six Sigma exposure
• Data-driven decision-making and problem-solving skills
