Job description

The Distribution Supervisor for Hangers of Hope primarily supervises and manages the collection all the salvage/gaylords from the thrift stores and deposits them at the warehouse. Experience driving box trucks and maintaining air brakes is a firm requirement. Due to the volume of donations at the stores this position includes being flexible with the pick-up schedule and respectful of the production worker's needs. Every day the salvage and raw seasonal merchandise (properly loaded and labeled in gaylords) need to be picked up from the stores in the Distribution truck and dropped off at the Warehouse in the correct area according to the type of salvage.

Requirements:

Experience driving a 26โ€™ box truck

Experience with air brake system

Ability to lift 50lbs

Bending, twisting, lifting, and reaching, pulling, pushing and operating the liftgate

Forklift experience (minimum 2 people in the building when using the forklift)

Pass Forklift Certification (If required)

Pass Hangers of Hope physical

Supervisor Experience

Logistic Experience

Duties:

Collect gaylords of salvage and raw seasonal from all the thrift stores and bring them to the Warehouse, enter all Truck Stops into Thrifttrac on iPad

Operate a pallet jack and forklift (minimum 2 people in the building when using the forklift)

Respectful to customers, donors and co-workers/staff at stores

Work with the Bale Operator to keep the salvage and bale organized in the warehouse

Ensure that the forklift does not run out of propane by bringing both propane tanks to be filled as needed

Fill up the truck with gasoline, complete daily inspection before leaving the yard

Complete any other duties assigned by Warehouse Manager

Assist others as needed (move seasonal gaylords for Pricer, sort hangers for stores, move supplies for manager, transport clinic items when requested, etc)
