This position is responsible for the execution of all operations at the Victorville Newell Brands Facility.

Position Detail - Responsibilities

  • Planning and execution of labor, supplies, and equipment required to meet and exceed financial shipping/receiving, safety, productivity, employee engagement and service targets
  • Managing communication up and down within the supply chain to appropriately represent activities taking place in the SC and work closely with other functions to ensure execution (e.g. Customer Service, Segment Planning, Human Resources, Integration etc).
  • Managing dynamic circumstances and having the ability to make sound independent decisions based on multiple considerations
  • Assure appropriate staffing and execution to handle significant seasonal changes in demand.
  • Interface effectively with wide range of personnel under all situations and be both directive and responsive
  • Manage effectively at multiple levels of the organization
  • Communication skills, interpersonal skills, planning skills, personal organization skills and ability to make rational decisions based on the data
  • Manage Supervisors and Managers in the Distribution area and be responsible for guiding, mentoring and developing his/her management team
  • The leader of the facility that runs approximately 300-400 factory hourly roles with 15 lead positions on the floor.
  • Assessing distribution processes for the feasibility of use of applications.
  • Assure realtime date and analytics to optimize automation operations and building flows in real time.

Position Detail - Key Qualifications

 

  • Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during working hours.
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Logistics or related area
  • 15+ years' experience in progressively-responsible logistics roles.
  • 7+ years' experience in a relevant project management environment.
  • Strong budgeting and productivity experience
  • PkMS and SAP experience
  • Drive for Results Strategic Agility
  • Courageous Leadership - Decision Making
  • Great communication skills, can clearly communicate ideas at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Lean, TPM, Siz Sigma or other relevant Operational Excellence experience.
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams.
  • Strong process orientation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Well organized with ability to manage through exceptions and data tracking.

The California base pay range for this position is from $150,000 to $195,000. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
