PRIMARY PURPOSE
As a Sanitation Associate, it will be your job to maintain all sanitation standards established by the Distribution Center in order to ensure a clean and safe work environment for all associates.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Pick up debris, empty trash cans, remove spills in a prompt manner, dust racks, doors, lights, etc.
โ€ข Sweep and mop slots.
โ€ข Clean sanitation equipment, including sanitation boxes and mops.
โ€ข Sweep and scrub floors, as well as outside areas to help ensure the safety, proper sanitation and efficiency of the distribution center.
โ€ข Maintain equipment daily, topping off fluids, cleaning out brushes and washing equipment.
โ€ข Follow good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris.
โ€ข Report equipment and pallet jack problems to maintenance.
โ€ข Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with ADUSA Distribution standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS
โ€ข Able to reach, stoop, bend and lift up to 60 lbs. of equipment.
โ€ข Able to stand for long periods of time.
โ€ข Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e., cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks).
โ€ข Able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
โ€ข High School Education.
โ€ข Certification on powered industrial equipment where applicable (will train associates).
โ€ข Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment.
Other Skills:
โ€ข Able to meet production standards set by the company.
โ€ข Able to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers.
โ€ข Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
