Coordinator, Distribution Center
Second Shift Operations: 3:30 pm - 2:00 am

Job Summary
The Distribution Center Coordinator connects operational departments that support the distribution center's daily tasks such as AutoStore operations, receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping. This role ensures accurate inventory, efficient workflow, and safety in a fast-paced team setting. Essential skills include flexibility, attention to detail, strong communication, and effective real-time problem-solving.
Cross-Functional Operational Support
  • Assist with the execution and coordination of day-to-day operations in areas such as AutoStore, inbound receiving, stocking, picking, order staging, and outbound processing.
  • Monitor and manage workflow queues in the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring timely and accurate movement of inventory and orders.
  • Support supervisors in task delegation, performance tracking, and shift preparation based on business needs.
  • Serve as a point of contact between team members and leadership to escalate operational issues promptly.

Inventory Accuracy & Quality
  • Conduct cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies across different warehouse zones.
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure proper product handling, labeling, and order fulfillment.
  • Assist with slotting or re-slotting of inventory to maintain efficient warehouse layout and flow.

Safety & Compliance
  • Promote and enforce safety guidelines and procedures across all distribution center functions.
  • Report equipment issues, hazards, or safety concerns immediately to leadership or maintenance teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs, cleanliness standards, and operational protocols.

Communication & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of product movement, receiving logs, damage reports, and other documentation as needed.
  • Communicate shift updates, process changes, and expectations clearly to teammates.
  • Participate in daily shift huddles and assist in training or onboarding new associates as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of distribution center experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Skilled in using warehouse systems, such as WMS, scanners, and tablets; previous experience with AutoStore or similar automated systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to effectively operate individually or part of a cohesive team.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or variable shifts as needed.
  • Ability to maintain open and respectful communication with supervisors and coworkers.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Role requires working in a non-climate-controlled light industrial environment.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, sit-down, counterbalance lift, and powered hand jack.
  • Able to sit or stand at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Physically able to perform the job functions for 8-10-hour workdays.
  • Employees may be required to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted, along with bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and other physical movements essential to daily tasks.

Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree or vocational training preferred.
