PURPOSE

The Distribution Center Site Operations Manager is accountable for the overall scheduling and timeliness of site activities are performed within our clients' guidelines. This position is responsible for warehouse management systems and customers achieving processes that meet all expectations. The Site Operations Manager will drive the financial goals and ensure corporate objectives are met.
Operations & Performance
  • Oversee all distribution center operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
  • Ensure on-time, accurate order fulfillment while meeting productivity, quality, and cost targets.
  • Develop and manage operational KPIs; analyze performance data and implement corrective actions.
  • Plan labor and equipment requirements to ensure all company and client goals are achieved
  • Build and foster agreeable relationships with the onsite client.

Leadership & People Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop all direct reports and hourly associates.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage staffing levels, hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Ensure Payroll is completed timely and accurately.

Safety, Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental, and company safety policies.
  • Champion workplace safety initiatives and conduct regular audits and inspections.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and customer requirements.

Financial & Budget Management
  • Support the development and management the site operating budget.
  • Control labor, transportation, and operational expenses where applicable.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives.

Process Improvement & Technology
  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Partner with IT and engineering teams on WMS, automation, and process enhancements.
  • Promote change management initiatives related to new systems, processes, or equipment.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a warehouse/distribution facility with experience managing others.
  • Warehouse and inventory management experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations regarding facility.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TRAITS
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Proven success using MS Office platform including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint to communicate clearly and transparently with all levels in the organization
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet specific goals and deadlines.
