Job description

The Distribution Technician I is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity in accordance with company Policies and procedures. Ensures that Distribution Operations are in Compliance with Federal Regulations and AATB Standards. Promotes Lean Behaviors across the organization (This includes Participating in Try storming, Brainstorming and Lean Related Initiatives). Resourceful in completing deadlines and can multitask effectively. Directly impacts On-Time Delivery to customers.

  1. Responsible for selecting and retrieving finished goods (ambient temperature and frozen) from the distribution area and/or -80ยฐC freezers to fulfill customer orders.
  2. Responsible for the final preparation and packaging of finished goods for shipment to end-users and/or distributors.
  3. Receives released finished goods from internal departments and places the grafts in appropriate storage units utilizing computer software (BTM) for physical tissue tracking.
  4. Maintains effective communication with management when issues arise to obtain appropriate instructions to address the issues.
  5. Responsible for reconciliation of inventory on a routine basis and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) is maintained.
  6. Maintains separate distributor inventories "Bill and Hold" and processes customer orders from that inventory location.
  7. Receives customer product returns and electronically returns the allografts in BTM.
  8. Creates e-mail communication confirming daily order processing.
  9. Prepares international shipping documents and labels such as commercial invoices, EIN numbers, and customs paperwork.
  10. Prepares customer packages for courier pick-ups.
  11. Processes all internal shipping requests.
  12. Creates distribution supply requests on a weekly basis.
  13. Ensures that all packages staged for shipping are retrieved by the transport company (FedEx) daily.
  14. Must be able to perform duties under supervision.
  15. Maintains knowledge of applicable regulations and standards related to storage, handling, labeling and inspections of tissue.
  16. Ensures proper documentation for all tissue inventory transfers.
  17. Ensures housekeeping practices for the work areas.

Qualifications
High School/Minimum of 4 Years of Relevant Experience.
Associate/Minimum of 1 Years of Relevant experience.
Bachelors/Minimum of 0-1 Years of Relevant experience Qualifications include:
  • Strong Interpersonal, organization, and documentation skills
  • Written, Verbal and strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Can multitask effectively.

Working conditions
Majority of the work is performed indoors, standing, and walking throughout the facility. Occasional warehouse work if needed. Weekend work will be alternated with employees from the department. Weekend and/or evening shifts may be required on as needed basis. "On Call" on an as needed basis.
