Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to help oversee daily operations at our Thain location. This role serves as a key support to the store manager and acts as a secondary point of contact for customers, team members, and vendors. Responsibilities include assisting with sales growth, maintaining profitability, and ensuring the facility remains clean and well-maintained. In the manager’s absence, this position takes charge of store operations, including merchandising, staff supervision, and general maintenance.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and measure customer satisfaction, using feedback to improve service and drive product sales. 
  • Oversee employee relations, including staffing levels, training, job assignments, and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized station and ensure adequate stock of supplies at all times. 
  • Promote and enforce safe work habits, ensuring compliance with all safety and security procedures. 
  • Manage merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability through effective product selection, placement, stocking, and pricing. 
  • Complete daily bookkeeping tasks, including vendor invoices and other required documentation, accurately and promptly. 
  • Control shrinkage and monitor vendor activity and invoices to maintain operational integrity. 

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, and reaching; must be able to stand for extended periods. 
  • Comfortable working with petroleum products. 
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to operate an adding machine. 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. 
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Professional, neat, and clean appearance.
