Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Logistics Specialist to assist with the daily movement and management of parts and inventory within a manufacturing facility.  The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing the movement of parts and materials as well as maintaining accurate inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations. This role is crucial in optimizing the supply chain to meet production schedules and customer demands. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, inventory management, and supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage all aspects of shipping and receiving operations.
  • Coordinate with carriers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
  • Ensure optimal stock levels to support production schedules.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
  • Oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of parts and materials within the facility.
  • Coordinate the movement of parts to the production line in a timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in logistics and inventory management processes.
  • Implement process changes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to logistics and inventory management
  • Ability to coordinate with local logistics teams and ensure compliance with policies
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any additional clearances as required.
  • This role may require occasional lifting of materials and parts up to 32 pounds.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
