Job description

Role: Manager, Warehouse & Shipping Operations
Location: Vista, CA 92084
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Warehouse & Shipping Operations to oversee warehouse, distribution, and shipping activities in a GMP-regulated environment. This leadership role is responsible for managing finished goods distribution, ERP serialization processes, inventory transactions, and shipping operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and state drug wholesale licensing requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ERP systems, warehouse operations, and GMP distribution practices.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage ERP Finished Goods Serialization operations, including master data maintenance, transaction processing, and issue resolution to support daily shipping schedules.
  • Supervise employees responsible for ERP transactions, including order summaries, post goods issuance, and shipment documentation.
  • Oversee finished product distribution holds, returns, withdrawals, quarantine activities, and serialized inventory management.
  • Manage finished goods sample removal processes and coordinate Quality-related inventory transactions.
  • Coordinate stock transport orders and plant-to-plant shipments while maintaining proper product allocation using the Batch Allocation System.
  • Monitor ERP Inventory Management (IM) and Warehouse Management (WM) transactions, ensuring inventory accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and job aids related to warehouse and shipping operations.
  • Analyze operational data and prepare key performance indicators (KPIs), warehouse utilization reports, and regulatory reports.
  • Maintain warehouse layout, material flow processes, storage locations, and coordinate warehouse equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP regulations, company policies, and applicable state and federal distribution requirements.
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits while implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse personnel to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in warehouse, shipping, logistics, or distribution operations within a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience using ERP systems to manage raw materials, finished goods, inventory, and shipping operations.
  • Experience supervising warehouse and distribution teams.
  • Knowledge of serialization processes and inventory management systems.
  • Experience supporting customer, quality, and regulatory audits.
  • Ability to qualify as a management-level Designated Drug Representative (DDR) in accordance with applicable state drug wholesale licensing requirements.
Required Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse, distribution, and logistics operations.
  • Thorough understanding of GMP regulations and quality systems.
  • Advanced ERP system experience (SAP or similar preferred).
