Overview
The Distribution Logistics Coordinator ensures that our customer transportation needs are met or exceeded by providing excellent customer service. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to, answering/routing calls, planning and scheduling, other clerical duties as directed by management.
Responsibilities
  • Services both external and internal customer needs on a regular basis
  • Coordinates on the scheduling of orders with carriers (internal. external and/or brokerage)
  • Manage shipment queue and priority lists
  • Provides load and/or order tracking/tracing and completes adjustments as needed
  • Repowers loads as carrier fall off/cover expedites orders as they arrive
  • Coordinates daily communication to all parties involved on potential service issues, problems and/or delays
  • Compiles data for daily reports
  • Compiles and transmits carrier information to customers to expedite future orders
  • Coordinate on the scheduling of appointments with customers.
  • Acts as a liaison between operations, carrier and the customer in administration of orders
  • Communicates feedback to management, including any signs of dissatisfaction
  • Prepares shipping and tracing information to customers/management as required
  • Positively interacts with customers, operations and carriers
  • Assists with other administrative duties as needed by management

Qualifications
  • Experience in a fast paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong time management, organizational, planning and self-motivation skills.
  • Excellent Customer service skills
  • Computer applications using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priority lists
  • Previous transportation and/or DOT experience helpful
  • Prior customer service experience
  • High School Degree required
  • Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed by the customer.
  • Should be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation and able to access all areas of building without limitations.
