Job description

Forklift Operator

Only qualified Forklift Operator candidates located near the Four Oaks North Carolina area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence.

Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Required Experience: Minimum six months of previous forklift driving experience required Intermediate experience operating either a high-reach or counterbalance forklift required Warehouse or distribution experience preferred Manufacturing work environment experience preferred Experience with Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred

Technical Skills: Ability to operate material handling equipment (MHE) Experience using RF scanners Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English Basic computer skills General distribution knowledge Ability to obtain forklift certification within two days of employment

Soft Skills: Basic analytical skills Strong organizational and prioritization skills Strong initiative and drive for results Ability to cross train and provide backup support when required

Responsibilities: Safely and accurately transport palletized products within the distribution center Perform unloading put away double deep storage bulk and full pallet picking loading and replenishment Operate material handling equipment including high reach counterbalance electric pallet jack and dock stocker Use RF scanners and Warehouse Management System (WMS) to maintain inventory accuracy and track products throughout the site Ensure product integrity while performing assigned tasks Follow site safety procedures and required personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements Cross train in other areas and provide backup support when required

Physical Demands: Regularly perform walking standing stooping kneeling balancing crouching reaching pushing and pulling grasping twisting lifting and repetitive hand and finger movements Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds as required in some areas Ability to occasionally climb Normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye Hearing sufficient to safely operate material handling equipment in a manufacturing or distribution environment

Work Environment: Work in a moderate to loud noise environment Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment and potentially precarious situations Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles May require a mandatory medical evaluation in accordance with applicable occupational health and safety requirements
