General Manager DTW Airport, Detroit, MI.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of fast-paced third-party logistics (3PL) Centralized Receiving and Distribution Center (CRDC) operations supporting Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW). Manage two warehouse facilities serving the McNamara and Evans terminals while leading a high-performing team of supervisors and logistics specialists.

Lead initiatives to deliver operational excellence, ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, drive exceptional customer satisfaction, and achieve financial performance objectives. Collaborate to develop high-performing teams and continuously seek opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.

  • 5+ years of experience in 3PL logistics, airport, or warehouse environments with hands-on employee and team management.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing supervisors and warehouse/logistics teams, including hiring, development, coaching, and performance improvement.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other media.
  • Data-driven decision-making with experience in quantitative analysis and developing action plans to achieve targets.
  • Ability to meet physical and travel requirements, including lifting to 75 pounds, safe driving, passing background checks, and potential relocation.
