Support/Hourly - Position - Warehouse Driver

ROLE AND PURPOSE: Perform various instructional materials warehouse duties including, but not limited to: driving trucks, making deliveries, filling orders, loading/unloading trucks, and taking inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education/Certification:

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Texas drivers' license with a satisfactory driving record
Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Proficiency in all general office skills
  • Computer skills to include knowledge of office software
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure of deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to operate warehouse equipment, including but not limited to fork lift, pallet jacks and picker.
  • Able to drive a large box truck
  • Must be physically able to lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Supports the instructional material inventory program for the district, including entering requisitions, pick tickets, inventories, transfers, filing and responding to campus requests;
  • Supports the Instructional Material warehouse in receiving and shipping of materials from and to vendors and the campuses;
  • Assists Instructional Materials Employees in delivery and pickup of instructional materials from locations in the district;
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Coordinator of Instructional Materials and the Director of Information and Instructional Systems.
