Must be able to work flexible hours as needed. Manage warehouse and shop inventory, layout, staff and volunteers to ensure an efficient and effective system of operations, including inventory management, warehouse storage and retail presentation. Review and revise warehouse policies & procedures as needed. Oversee teacher shopping and/or organize alternative teacher pick-up methods, bulk supply deliveries and other distribution systems to ensure timely allocation of materials to teachers and students.
Supervise warehouse volunteers. Perform warehouse data entry and inventory. Manage drop off and receipt of on-site donations at community area partnerships and local KINF affiliates (e.g
Staples). Conduct and coordinate supply orders and deliveries with KINF affiliates, vendors and freight haulers. Partner with Director on annual order budgets, invoicing and other operations as appropriate.
Open and/or close site and ensure readiness for each day of operation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of retail floor, volunteer areas, warehouse and warehouse storage areas. Coordinate with building personnel to ensure proper waste, recycling and other location-specific operational tasks.
Participate in special events for volunteers, donors and partners as needed. Work with Community Engagement Staff to develop and coordinate teacher shop details at the beginning of each school semester and throughout the year as appropriate. Create an environment that promotes volunteer opportunities for the community including groups, businesses and individuals with developmental disabilities.
Assist with orientation training of volunteers as needed. Work with the RRC Volunteer Coordinator and Community Engagement Staff overseeing individual volunteers or volunteer groups for teacher shopping, warehouse, donation pick-ups. Participate in conferences, workshops, department meetings and in-service trainings as needed or recommended to enhance job skills and personal growth and development.
