The company is headquartered in Exton, PA with a large distribution facilitiy in Atlanta, GA.
Our Mission
JW Pepper distribution center is hiring to fill several positions in order processing and inventory stocking. This is a full-time position, 40 hours a week. All applicants must be flexible to accommodate seasonal overtime needs, which include some evening and Saturday hours. Starting wage $17.00 an hour. Applicants must successfully pass all pre-hire screenings, including background checks and drug tests.
Job Description
The order picker is responsible for quickly and efficiently filling customer orders in a manner that meets company standards for quality and productivity. Responsible for the completeness and the accuracy of all orders. In an effort, to provide the highest level of customer service, all warehouse associates will be cross trained to be proficient in shipping, package handling, stock put away and replenishment, other basic inventory control functions, and basic receiving functions.
Job Responsibilities
  • Pick ordered items from correct bin locations using barcodes and item numbers
  • Verify item and quantity ordered
  • Place items picked into the appropriate shipping box or slotted tote
  • Repack order boxes to the appropriate size when needed
  • Perform regular shelf maintenance to ensure product quality
  • Follow all best procedural practices throughout the picking process
  • Order pickers must meet production standards during peak season
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
  • Follow company policies as outlined in the employee handbook
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and stocked with necessary supplies

Requirements
  • Operate an RF scanner
  • In-depth knowledge of the warehouse layout
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes for long hours
  • Schedule flexibility to accommodate seasonal overtime requirements, including weekend work
  • Ability to work under pressure with strong motivation and a sense of urgency
  • Must be able to handle stress that is involved in meeting deadlines due to tight scheduling
  • Excellent dexterity and coordination
  • Physical strength - Must be able to lift 30+ lbs frequently
  • Physical stamina - Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods; Must be capable of twisting, stooping, squatting, bending, climbing, and reaching above shoulder level on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to count accurately and perform simple math
  • Must be able to shift priorities easily
  • Must be positive and friendly with the ability to work in a team environment
