Company Description

In 1930, Edward Kane traded his car for a used truck to provide local hauling to valley regions of Northeast Pennsylvania. Today, KANE manages a truckload fleet of 140 power units and 800 trailers and operates over 6.5 million square feet of 3PL warehousing space across 16 U.S. distribution center locations. The company remains family owned and professionally managed.

Job Description

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a department. An individual in this department will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and/or as necessary. Candidate is responsible to inspect and process freight in a safe and correct manner, detail oriented, and good with reading numbers. Load, unload, fills orders, packs, processes, and verifies freight in an accurate and timely manner. 


Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, associates)
  • Maintain quality and accuracy of inventory by inspecting freight and products for correct quantities and conditions, and moving freight manually or with powered equipment.
  • Ensure LOS goals are met for unloading trailers by monitoring unloaders and arrival times.
  • Inform management about unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures in the facility.
  • Use freight handling equipment in a safe and correct manner.
  • Enter and locate information on a computer or system communication device

Qualifications:
  • Prior warehousing experience
  • Detail oriented and good with reading numbers
  • Able to use adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing to correctly verify incoming freight
  • Available to work Sundays
  • Lifting 50+ pounds
  • Communication skills
