Distribution Center Associate

POSITION TITLE: Distribution Center Associate
REPORTS TO: Distribution Center Supervisor
SUMMARIZED DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: A distribution center associate position involves performing various tasks to ensure customer orders are processed and shipped accurately and on time. Key duties typically span the entire order fulfillment process, from receiving inventory to preparing shipments for delivery
Key responsibilities
  • Order fulfillment: Picking products for customer orders, verifying items against orders, and performing quality control checks to ensure orders are accurate.
  • Packing and shipping: Safely and accurately packaging products for shipment, labeling boxes correctly, and loading them onto outgoing trucks.
  • Receiving and stocking: Offloading delivery trucks, inspecting incoming product, and putting inventory away in designated storage areas.
  • Inventory management: Using inventory systems to track stock, assisting with cycle counts, and updating records.
  • Equipment operation: Using equipment like pallet jacks, forklifts, and sometimes automated machinery to move and store products.
  • Workplace maintenance: Keeping the work area clean, organized, and safe.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly throughout a shift.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy to ensure correct items, quantities, and quality standards are met for each order.
