Job description

An Associate Fulfillment Processor will pride themselves in delivering a high quality and consistent service experience while being easy to do business with through excellent communication skills and by placing a high value on all customer needs. As an Associate Fulfillment Processor, you will be responsible for processing incoming and outgoing mail and packages in addition to picking and packing customer orders. This role will support the building and breaking apart assemblies for project and/or events. This position will pick up, deliver, and scan mail as necessary to ensure mail stops and distribution areas are clean and restocked. This role ensures the client will feel the effort and care taken to make sure they have had the best client experience and adhere to all internal service and quality standards. This is an onsite position located at one of our corporate locations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in processing incoming and outgoing mail for Thrivent and their affiliates in an efficient and effective manner while meeting agreed upon service and quality standards. This may include electronically scanning mail to send item(s) to the appropriate person or box for final fulfillment.
  • Pick up, deliver mail and/or packages to ensure it reaches the appropriate person at the proper destination. If unclaimed, work with the individual(s) to ensure they are aware of the item and collaborate to determine the best solution for final fulfillment.
  • Pick and pack supply orders, warehouse requisitions, projects and specials ranging from the low to mid-level complexity with accuracy and timeliness. Prepare packages for shipment using materials providing the most cost effective and sturdy method to ensure it arrives damage free.
  • Assisting in the setting up and taking down of projects or events in offices and in the warehouse. Ensure all equipment and inventory is accounted for, put away and is in good working order for the next order, assembly, or project.
  • Fulfill existing or pre-determined assemblies or projects efficiently to meet the consistent service and quality standards.
  • Identify, understand, and address quality concerns and work with appropriate resources to remedy. Maximize efficiency and quality by using packaging and shipping tools and resources, like visual aids, to reduce manual intervention and provides the most cost-effective solution.
  • Adhere to all Thrivent and Materials and Distribution standard operating procedures, best practices and safety standards ensuring your safety and those around you.
  • Clean and restock supplies at mail stops, work areas and distribution areas daily.
  • Collaborates and assists with other departments workloads as needed.
  • Recognizes the importance of a strong high performing team and commits to the work needed to build and maintain it.

This role may report to either a Materials and Distribution Supervisor or Manager and interact with individual contributors and leaders within the department and Commercial Operations. This person also staffs the corporate mail room and interacts with anyone visiting, emailing, or calling the mail room or meeting at the mail stops.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Required:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent required
  • Meticulous and laser focused focus with a high degree of accuracy, quality, client centricity, and exceptional service
  • Growth mindset, adaptability, and resiliency to change, and great customer service skills
  • Self-directed and personally motivated - shows high degree of accountability
  • Able to lift to 25 lbs. and be on their feet most of the day
  • Comply with established safety standards and wear personal protective equipment as required

Preferred:

  • Understanding of Thrivent products, systems, and processes
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or documented training and experience with improving processes, continuous improvement, and leading change
  • 1+ year order fulfillment, mail room or related experience
  • Basic understanding of United States Postal Service mailing standards and related pricing structures
