We are looking for an Injection Molding Machine Operator located in Edmonton, AB. This is your opportunity to join a global technology company, driving energy innovation for a balanced planet.

What You Will Do:

  • Operate the mixing machine to blend plastic and other chemicals to a specific consistency and viscosity
  • Operate one or more injection molding machines to mold plastic products onto specified product
  • Operate automated production line
  • Operate band saw, pedestal grinder and granulator
  • Trim, scrape plastic off steel rods
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet all required quality standards
  • Complete required paperwork, including work orders, quality plans, cleanings, plans, etc.
  • Troubleshoot product deficiencies
  • Conduct general painting operations
  • Measure and gauge product as required
  • Weigh resins
  • Raw Material Preparation
  • Set up and Shutdown Peek materials
  • Assembling of dies, die set up checklist
  • Mold assembly, mold maintenance and upkeep
  • Assist in packing items for shipping and distribution
  • Assist crane operators and material controllers as required
  • Maintain a clean working area
  • Maintain positive working relationships within the production group
  • Complete associated paperwork
  • Work in a safe manner, follow all rules, regulations, and legislation
  • Following Lean Manufacturing guidelines

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Position Details:

  • Working at the Edmonton manufacturing facility
  • Permanent
  • Full-time
  • Rotating shift between day and afternoon shift (night shift may be required dependent on business conditions)
  • Weekend and on-call may be required dependent on business conditions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to read, write and effectively communicate in English
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Overtime as required
  • Shift work required

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours/day
