Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Assistant Distribution Manager is responsible for assisting the Distribution Manager in every aspect of thedistribution process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates delivery routes and ensures delivery personnel maintain a premium level of customer service.

  • through an organized routing system.

  • Oversees Inventory Control Program: daily reconciliation of packaged ice through Arctic's daily inventory program.

  • Establishes Beltek handheld route administration

  • Coordinates any aspects of the delivery process ensuring orders are filled in a timely manner; schedules dock delivery times,organizes/dispatching customer calls.

  • Assists with driver recruitment.

  • Assist with vehicle maintenance scheduling.

  • Assist with the distribution budgeting process.

  • Ensures company policies are followed.

  • Actively scouts new business in thearea.

  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of all inventory reports.

  • Ensures route completion is consistent.

  • Establishes accurate driver/route schedules meeting.

  • Other duties as assigned.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extensive knowledge of customerdatabaseand route system.

  • Strong working knowledge of Beltek handheld computer system.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office software.

  • Must have a valid CDL driver license.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills.
