Job description

Job Summary:
IES Commercial is seeking a Full Time DAS Project Lead who will be responsible for a variety of field service functions including, but not limited to, completing Sweep, PIM and Fiber testing as well as training and mentoring DAS Technicians.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Installing DAS wireless equipment using any combination of external and internal antennas, coaxial cable, CATV cable, fiber optic cable, CAT 5 cable and other appropriate components to NEC standard at customer job sites.
• Terminating wall and ceiling mounted components.
• Completing Sweep, PIM and Fiber testing.
• Completing job related documentation and record keeping.
• Keeping Customer and Company informed of progress of installation.
• Communicating and coordinating with Customer and Company related to specific safety, local code and Company installation requirements.
• Mentoring and leading less experienced technicians.
• Keeping informed on and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Basic Hand Tools: screwdriver (regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (needle nose and channel locks), hammer, wrench set, cable stripper, flashlight and gloves.

Qualifications
Physical and Mental Requirements:
• Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvement(s).
• Must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
• Must possess proven problem solving and critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
• Must have proven skill level or the ability to learn to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
• Must be able to work at heights, off of a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
• Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED equivalency
• 3 years of Installation experience in Telecommunications field with strong emphasis in DAS.
• Experience with common DAS Equipment including Fiber DAS, Repeaters, Coaxial Cable, CAT 5 Cable, Antennas, Splitters, Fiber Cable, etc.
• Working knowledge of RF test equipment (ie spectrum analyzer)
• Demonstrated ability to work in a professional manner at all job sites
• Ability to think analytically and to solve complex problems
• Ability to drive performance and execute against plan
• Strong customer service, communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well on a team
• Demonstrated ability to complete installations independently as projects require
