Overview

We are seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Nurse Practitioner to become part of our esteemed Women’s Health Care Center located in Raleigh, NC. Join a dedicated team that emphasizes a collaborative approach to patient care, ensuring that each individual's experience is personalized and significant.

Position Highlights
  • Become a member of a flourishing maternal-fetal medicine consultative practice, working alongside two physicians and a highly cooperative multidisciplinary team, which includes two nurse practitioners, a registered dietitian, a genetic counselor, a skilled nursing team, and specialized sonographers.
  • Work in a modern office situated in Raleigh, NC, conveniently located near UNC Rex Hospital.
  • Enjoy a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, with no night shifts, weekends, or on-call duties. Some responsibilities can be fulfilled remotely, including telehealth services.
  • Provide consultations for high-risk obstetrics, including pre-conception counseling, in collaboration with maternal-fetal medicine physicians, adhering to current ACOG/SMFM guidelines.
  • Manage complex pregnancies to enhance maternal and fetal health throughout all pregnancy stages.
  • Conduct patient assessments, including medical history reviews and risk evaluations.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and non-stress tests.
  • Participate in a growing diabetes program that focuses on the co-management of pre-existing diabetes (types 1 and 2), pre-diabetes, and gestational diabetes, in partnership with primary OB providers and local endocrinologists.
  • Engage in a consultative practice model designed to facilitate connections with tertiary care centers and collaborate with specialists to deliver outstanding care to women and their families.

Requirements
  • National Nurse Practitioner certification or the ability to obtain it
  • Active, unrestricted licensure in the state or the ability to secure it
  • Current unrestricted DEA license or the ability to obtain it
  • CPR, BLS, and NALS certification or the ability to acquire them
  • Skilled in assessment and treatment plan development
  • Effective communication skills with patients, team members, and management
  • Capability to make care decisions based on best medical practices independently
  • A minimum of one year of full-time experience as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Maternal Fetal Medicine field is required.
