Hearth & Home Technologies is looking for a Regional Distribution Center (RDC) Manager to join our team in Mt. Pleasant, IA.
We are the nation's leading manufacturer and supplier of hearth products, including a wide variety of gas, electric, wood and pellet burning fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and accessories. Headquartered in Lakeville, Minnesota, with distribution around the world, our innovative culture is supported by a business unit structure that allows us to develop and market products with a strong focus on customers' needs. Since 1996, we've been dedicated to connecting people through the warmth and comfort of our hearth products.
Our RDC Manager is accountable for leading quality, delivery, cost, safety, member development, and continuous improvement efforts for the location.
Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve measurable results in the areas of Quality of Hire, DPPM and internal audits utilizing simple and effective processes.
  • Understand how Quality systems and results in the areas of staffing, equipment and inventory management have impactful outcomes on the business.
  • Drive industry leading delivery through managing the inputs affecting key indicators.
  • Strategically manage the RDC to fully optimize space utilization and the WMS system.
  • Generate cost savings by mentoring the team to utilize BPI / continuous improvement techniques to drive safe, effective and sustainable improvement initiatives.
  • Develop strategies differentiating and positioning the business unit as a place inspiring people to contribute towards achieving measurable results.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business-related field required or equivalent combination or education and experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment with at least three of those years in Distribution and Supply Chain leadership.
  • Demonstrated understanding of physical control of material and facility through Visual Management and 6S techniques.
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques; demonstrated ability to use these tools to move the business forward.
  • Ability to accurately interpret complex data and business information.
  • Established leader in manufacturing efficiency and team development.
  • Proficient project management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and the ability partner across teams and effectively present information.
  • Knowledge of asset management; history of involvement in property and facilities management.
  • Experience in the Hearth Industry a plus.

Potential to travel 4 times per year as needed.
