Position Purpose

The Busser/Food Runner works in a fast-paced environment supporting the front and back of house for the Old Savannah Distillery (OSD). Assist in keeping the bar and dining areas clean, and the back bar stocked allowing others to focus on the guests. Run food and drinks from the kitchen to the proper table in the dining area in a timely manner.

Requirements:

Essential Functions

  • Ability to keep up with the fast-paced environment of the Old Savannah Distillery.
  • Stocking the bar with all garnishes, including cutting fruit, ice, glassware, straws, and napkins throughout the shift.
  • Ensures bar areas remain clean.
  • Perform standard table bussing and pre-bussing duties, including but not limited to, wiping down tables and seats, setting tables, and assisting with supplies of items such as linens, silverware and glassware.
  • Assist and communicate with hosts, servers, and other bussers.
  • Serve food orders to guests when servers need assistance.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as a team member within the scope of established rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to manage one's own time.
  • Ability to identify, gather and analyze information, exhibit sound, and accurate judgment and make timely decisions.
  • Ability to read, write and speak clear English to communicate with co-workers and the general public.

Qualifications

  • 6 months experience in a full-service restaurant and/or bar preferred.
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Other Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment background check and substance abuse testing.
  • Maintain necessary mandated food and drink certifications.
