Job description

We are looking for Press Helper/Materials Handlers to assist on the press and move materials for our Ontario, CA facility.
Shift: The position is needed to work an alternative work schedule (AWS) alternating 4 and 3 day 12 hour shifts. Day and night shifts available.
Wage: Starting at $19 per hour, plus $1.75 night shift differential for hours worked past 5pm.
Essential Duties and Tasks:
  • Take ownership of the entire cleaning area to maintain facility/corporate standards
  • Daily cleaning and building of parts including, but not limited to, chambers (and components), pans, lids, mixers, filters, etc., utilizing the parts washer
  • Able to identify worn or damaged anilox and notify supervisor to be sent for resurfacing
  • Operates washer and distiller, as required, to support production and minimize the plant hazardous wage; transfers waste still bottoms from distiller to DOT approved drums; responsible for proper labeling, material handling, and stores of hazardous wastes
  • Performs various cleaning and inspection duties to maintain SQF/AIB compliance
  • Develop audits and rotating schedules to rebuild chambers and assist with changeovers
  • Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance (PM) for parts washer, anilox laser cleaner, distiller (solvent recycling)
  • Assist with changeovers and complete other duties assigned by Supervisor or Lead
  • Provides feedback to the supervisor on equipment or production issues
  • Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are being met
  • Enforces all plant and department safety rules and performs weekly Safety Observations
  • Complies to monthly Behavior Observation Program (BOP) - 2 BOPs per month
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and all compliance and regulatory mandates
  • Work flexibility to include shift changes, weekends, holidays, and overtime (as needed)
  • Must have good attendance and punctuality
