The role of Licensed Mental Health Counselor is designed for a remote work setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong sense of accountability.   • Facilitate engaging and productive individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing best practice therapeutic techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to monitor their progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to promote recovery and resilience.
  • Maintain effective communication with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and psychiatrists, ensuring a cohesive approach to client care.
  • Identify and manage behaviors that may hinder the recovery process, providing guidance to clients and their support systems.
  • Support and educate family members and caregivers on relevant mental and behavioral health challenges, fostering a holistic support environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population experiencing a range of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related conditions, and substance use disorders. Your expertise will help guide clients of varied ages and backgrounds as they navigate their mental health journeys, promoting healing and fostering healthier coping strategies.

Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to maintain accurate client records.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective client interaction and professional collaboration.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a clinical setting as a Mental Health Counselor.
