Job description

About the Role:

Ensure the inspection of the finished product output; guarantee finished products meet quality specifications established by the Quality Department. 

Ensure the examination of the quality reports from the day prepared by production personnel (entry of data into system such as SAP-QM or Fenice); ensure the examination of monthly reports 

Support factory quality and food safety management program and product coding maintenance 

Monitor and review information from materials, events, or the environment to detect or assess problems 

Record goods movements in SAP (e.g. stock for quality controls / blocked stock, etc.) 

Ensure all program requirements/standards regarding quality and food safety are implemented, practiced, and maintained 

Internal auditing, recording statistical data and analyzing production data to verify compliance or determine deviation from existing standards 

Execute daily review of the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) documentation 

Enforce and promote all company guidelines, policies, and good manufacturing practices 

Main Responsibilities:

Quality Control 

  • Ensure documents are created and maintained for Quality Control activities. 
  • Reviews consumer complaint data & determine course of action to reduce complaints. 
  • Review/Oversee incoming packaging material for accuracy and complete SAP related activities. 
  • Review/Oversee incoming ingredient COA's and completed SAP related activities. 
  • Utilizing SAP hold non-conforming product, ingredients & packaging material. 
  • Ensure SOPs are updated/reviewed annually. 
  • Support R & D activities including trials, product start ups, etc. including military standard testing 
  • Ensure equipment for quality testing is properly maintained & calibrated 
  • Responsible for product holds, including dispositions 
  • Manage QA Techs daily activities. 
  • Advanced preparation of documentation and compilation of data; 
  • Collaborates with Operations on Quality concerns  
  • Create QA related OPL's and train affected personnel.  
  • Conducts mock trace exercises.
About You:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Microbiology, Biology, Food Safety, Food Science, or related field. 
  • 1-3 years of relevant supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control 
  • Ability to match or detect differences in color, including shades & brightness, ability to see details, ability to compare similarities & differences quickly & accurately 
  • Ability to perform simple math 
  • Working to advance knowledge of Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) 
  • Strong written & verbal skills 
  • Proficiency in SAP is preferred 
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices & HACCP are strongly preferred
